Should i buy the MR2 or the Celica?

I know your thinking, "what am i crazy?" but the celica im looking at is a ST162 86 that has been worked, its got a jap import 3SGE 98 motor with the VVTL-I and has been rebuilt with forgerd parts and a balanced crakshaft plus a sealed LSD. it also have plenty of other mods. Its being sold for 4.5K, niot there is a MR2 also for sale that will cost 5K (its the gen2) but it needs a new gear box, it has momo rims and exhaust plus some other mods. What do you guys reckon? the MR2 is 1990.
