Hi Guys
I have just bought a 2004 v6 Camry with 45,000 klms - the front suspension is very hard riding - I am feeling and hearing every bump in the road.
It has steel wheels and is far harsher than my 1997 model (which had alloys) that I just replaced it with. Has anyone had this experience? is it a common problem? any / all help greatly appreciate as my wife wants to sell it as she is not happy.
Cheers

Croc,
check the front passenger shocks/springs components. These are usually the first to go as the left hand (edges) of most roads are a bit ordinary (bumpy) so the suspension on the the left hand side is usually the first to need replacing or service.

Hi Croc

What you need to do is sell the wife and keep the car.

Seriously though, you are not the first person to complain about it, not long after they were released for sale people were constantly compaining about harsh ride and excessive road noise. Seamed to be mainly people that upgraded from the previous model and you notice the difference, also this is the time toyota was releasing their "Sportivo" models which were suppose to be a combination of sports and performance with everyday driving, so I would say they just beefed up the suspension on the entire range to save money.

Just buy those really thick sheepskin seat covers and turn the radio up..... Fixed!
